Weight and draw are per square metre of cabinet, so different cabinet sizes compare fairly. Ranges run across every panel the maker has in the database, not only the matched ones.

- Planar and Sharp overlap on 10 matched pairs between 1.18 and 1.9 mm; outside that band one of them has no comparable panel.
- Planar is the lighter cabinet in 9 of 10 matched pairs, Sharp in 1. Across their lineups that is 14 to 34 kg/m² against 21 to 42 kg/m².
- Planar draws less at full white in 0 of 10 matched pairs, Sharp in 10. Lineups: 330 to 1,200 W/m² against 168 to 720 W/m², which sets the circuit count.
