Pixel map, processor canvas limits, bumper weights

The pixel map has its own page now: every screen of a job on the processor canvas, in pixels, with each port’s region drawn and listed. It prints on one sheet for the media server operator. Solo and Shop feature; the planner keeps one button for it.

Every processor carries the largest canvas its sheet publishes, and the planner warns when a wall is wider or higher than that. The figures come from the NovaStar, Brompton and Colorlight documents; the MCTRL660 Pro only publishes an input limit, and I use that as the working limit.

Bumper weights stopped being placeholders. ROE publishes its hanging bar weights in the user manuals (Black Pearl, Ruby, Diamond, and the first-generation Carbon manual for the MkII), Chauvet on its product pages. Every other system says not published and falls back to your house standard, and the rules say which figure was used.

The MX40 Pro sheet says a run narrower than 128 px is charged as if it were 128 px wide. The wiring applies that now, which only matters for a single column of a coarse cabinet. No sheet I have publishes a per-port width cap, so there is none in the engine.

Offline, the landing page, share cards, the SEO pass

The planner installs as an app and keeps working with no signal: the shell is cached at install, checks made offline are pushed when the signal returns. A force-closed app in airplane mode was the case that broke, and the fix was to cache at install rather than on first visit.

A landing page for the ads test, with anonymous product events behind it so the test can be read without a tracking tag or a cookie banner. The admin account page shows the counts.

Share cards use the site’s own faces now instead of the browser default, and the slogan is gone from them.

Panels a maker sells in two cabinet sizes carry the size in their name, so no two pages share a title. Descriptions across the site were cut to fit a search result.

Print was redesigned around the crew that packs: cables drawn through the panels they feed, with direction arrows, and a comment column beside every line for the packer’s pen.

Nine starter walls: corporate 16:9, IMAG side screen, portrait concert side screens for indoor and outdoor, festival main stage, xR volume, fine-pitch conference, DJ riser, touring outdoor. Open one and the whole pack list is derived.

The design pass

A rewrite of the stylesheet and every user-facing string against one written house style: the site should read like the paperwork of a load-in, a pack list and a datasheet, not a dashboard. One label style, one raised surface per page, a light palette that was designed rather than inverted, a theme switch that remembers.

The planner’s inputs moved to the top, full width, with the job settings behind one summary line. The processor picker groups by maker, smallest to largest.

Loadout becomes RigPlan

New name, new domain: rigplan.app, with rigplan.no for the Norwegian calculators. The fleet page became Inventory.

Accounts, billing, inventory, and 148 panels

Sign-in by one-time email link, Solo and Shop plans with a 14-day trial, saved jobs that sync across devices, team seats, your logo on the printout, quotes with your day rates.

The panel database grew from 30 to 148, every figure from the manufacturer’s own datasheet with the source and retrieval date on the page. A datasheet parser pre-fills the form for panels not yet listed, and manufacturers can submit their own sheets.

Shops run more than one panel system, and hanging bars fit only their own system. Inventory is per system, with its own bars, and dated jobs draw on it; double bookings become sub-hire lines instead of vanishing.

Power runs got their own plan: vertical or row-wise, never a serpentine, balanced evenly across circuits, 12 and 12 rather than 18 and 6. Data runs snake in any direction; the wall diagram draws both.

House standards: every ratio the engine uses can be set per shop, for people who pack differently than I do.
